Calderdale Open Minds Partnership (CAMHS)

The Open Minds Partnership is the name that young people have given to Children & Young People’s mental health services in Calderdale (formerly CAMHS). There are two main services who work together:

1. Northpoint Wellbeing (formerly Tier 2)

Tel: 01422 300 001

Address: 9 Clare Road, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX1 2HX

Email: firstpointofcontact@calderdalecamhs.org.uk *
*confidential information should not be emailed

Northpoint work with children displaying emotional or mental health problems which significantly affect their daily life despite a preventative or universal services intervention AND the criteria for specialist CAMHS (see below) are not met.

2. Specialist CAMHS (formerly Tier 3) provided by SWYFT (South West Yorkshire Foundation NHS Trust)

Tel: 01422 262 380

Address: Laura Mitchell Health and Wellbeing Centre, Great Albion Street, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX1 1YR

SWYFT work with more severe, complex and enduring difficulties affecting children & young people. SWYT can also help where there is a reasonable indication that the child may have complex neurodevelopmental difficulties e.g. autistic spectrum condition, ADHD or other difficulties that may require a multi-disciplinary assessment.

Please note that any referrals that are sent to SWYT via the Laura Mitchell Health Centre will be passed to the First Point of Contact at Clare Road to be triaged. This can delay the process for young people.
